Marsha Forrester Obituary
Greer
Marsha Hunt Forrester, age 69, wife of Thomas John Gilmore, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at her home.
Born in Fort Benning, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Harrison Smith and Martha Self Forrester. Mrs. Forrester was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Interior Design. She also was a registered architect and was a partner with McGarity, Gilmore, Forrester Architects.
Mrs. Forrester is survived by her stepmother, Anne Clemmons Forrester; two brothers, Harrison Smith Forrester, Jr. (Stacey Holtzclaw Forrester) and George Jackson Hughes, Jr. (Velda Carter Hughes); three sisters, Jamie Self Forrester, Laura Hughes Graves (Donald Gene Graves), and Rita Hughes Waloszczyk (Michael William Waloszczyk); and beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at The Mackey Mortuary Chapel. The family will greet guests following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29603.

Marsha was my friend in junior high and high school. Not only was she beautiful, she was also witty, talented, smart, and just plain fun.We giggled so much in so many classes that I don't know why we weren't sent to the principal's office! I had always hoped to see her again. I am so very sad to know that she is gone, and my heart goes out to her family for their loss.

I met Marsha at her home on several occasions, and had worked with John.
