Greer
Edward "Bud" Lafayette Mayfield, 71, of 100 Roscoe Drive, died April 15, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Greenville County, son of the late Edward Lafayette Mayfield, Sr. and Hazel Brown Mayfield, he was a retired employee of J.P.S. Automotive and a member of Burnsview Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Joyce W. Mayfield of the home; two sons, Scott Mayfield (Amy) and Marty Mayfield (Mandy) all of Greer; a brother, William Mayfield of Simpsonville; a sister, Rose Griffith of Greer; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, conducted by Rev. Tim Huckaby and Rev. Ray Hatcher
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to Burnsview Baptist Church, 9690 Reidville Road, Greer, SC 29651.
