James David Steadman, 59, of 101 Darby Place, died April 15, 2013 at his home.

A native of Greenville County, son of Pauline Foster Steadman of Greer and the late Robert Steadman, he was an employee of S.C. Steel, a U.S. Marine and a member of His Vineyard.

Surviving are his wife, Constance Lee Trimm Steadman of the home; one son, James Stephen Steadman of Greer; one daughter Misty Kay Rice of Greer; nieces and nephews, Hannah, Zachary and Ashlin Cantrell of the home; two brothers, Robert Steadman of Taylors and Billy Steadman of Travelers Rest; one sister, Linda Kickery of Fountain Inn; six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Keith Kelly and Rev. Larry Padgett. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home of the mother, 102 Lawton Street, Greer, S.C.

Memorials may be made at Heartland Hospice, 421 S.E. Main Street, Suite 100, Simpsonville, S.C. 29681.
