Simpsonville
Jerry Lincoln Murray, 62, 106 Lyons Court, died May 9, 2013 at Greer Memorial Hospital.
A native of Greenville County, he was a son of Betty Ann Batson Brown of Simpsonville and the late James Franklin Murray, Sr. and retired U.S. Army Veteran having served during Desert Storm.
Surviving also are his wife, Petra Elisabeth Anne Metzner Murray of Simpsonville; two sons, Steven Andrew Murray (Amy) of Stephens City, Virginia and Alexander Mack Murray (Ashley) of Simpsonville; a daughter, Cathleen Konen (Benjamin) of Fountain Inn; a brother, James Franklin Murray, Jr. (Joyce) of Fountain Inn; three sisters, Betty Louise Hunt (Ray) of Easley, Shirley Darlene Howard of Greer and Rose Allison (George) of Gray Court; and a grandchild, Madison Konen.
He was predeceased by a brother, Phillip Dean Murray.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Ray Hunt, Sr. with full military honors.
Visitation will be held 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home of the sister, Rose Allison, 12795 Highway 101 South, Gray Court, SC.
