Greer
John Warren Lindsay, 59, died April 26, 2013 at his home.
A native of Florence, SC, he was a son of the late Claude D. Lindsay and Reba Cooper Lindsay. He was a former employee of The Greenville News and a member of People's Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Joy Paxton Lindsay of the home; two daughters, Ginger Barbare and her husband Heath, and Melanie Powers and her husband Brad and their two grandchildren, Brooke and Bradley Powers. He is also survived by his biological mother, "Jo" Adkins, two sisters and three brothers.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Larry Padgett.
Visitation will be held 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
