Bobbie Jean Hughey Ayers

Bobbie Jean Hughey Ayers, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015.

Born in Anderson County on January 25, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Fredrick and Rosanna Williamson Hughey. She was a long time member of Reedy River Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and his wife, Rev. K. Scott (Teri) Ayers, of Aiken, S.C.; three granddaughters, Brittany, Rebecca & Marlie.; a brother, Daniel W. (Debbie) Hughey; a brother-in-law, John B. Burns, Sr., a special niece, Norma (Jimmy) Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, J.C., Guyton, and Bill Hughey; four sisters, Lois Jones, Viola Burns, Dorothy Burns, and Ruby Hester.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 P.M. May 16 at Reedy River Baptist Church with the funeral following at 3pm.

A private family interment service will take place in the church cemetery following the services.

In lieu of all flowers, memorials be made to North Greenville University, or to the Foothills Kids in care of Foothills Baptist Church.
