Easley

James Robert "Bob" Brown, 70, husband of Lorraine D. Brown passed from this life Monday May 20, 2013.

Bob was born in Spartanburg County to the late James A. and Wilma J. Brown on June 12, 1942. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years Lorraine; children, Melissa (Brett) Kahley, Jandi (Randy) Withrow, Robert (Audrey) Brown and Ami (Gene) Hinkle; grandchildren, Joshua Kahley, Grant Kahley, Savannah Kahley, Claire Withrow, Amalee Brown, Ellison Brown, Corbin Hinkle and Collin Hinkle; sister, Linda (Danny) Ard; brother Ken Brown. Also surviving is a special aunt and uncle, Martha and Paul Guy.

He graduated from Greenville High School in 1960 and attended Furman University. Bob was the owner and operator of Southern Refrigeration Inc. for many years. He was a devoted family man and worked hard for his family. All of the grandchildren called him "Happi", and it was an accurate description of him. His legacy as a humble Christian man lives on in his grandchildren.
