Linda Scroggins Obituary
Easley
Linda Irene Mahaffey Scroggins, 58, wife of Jackie Charles Scroggins of Easley, passed from this life Friday, January 20, 2012 at her home.
Linda was born in Greenville County, SC a daughter of the late Paul James and Virginia Irene Corn Mahaffey. She was retired from W. R. Grace & Company, and then worked for Quality Care in Greenville where she dedicated the rest of her life as a caregiver for special needs children. Linda was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Jackie of the home, daughters Tamara Wood of Myrtle Beach, Teresa Williams of Dacusville, and Shannon Camp of Liberty, step children include Rena Hayes of Greenwood, Jacqeline Sphon of Blue Ridge, Danny Scroggins of Liberty, Sherry Scroggins of Greenwood, and Shannon Scroggins of Anderson. Also surviving are brothers Danny Mahaffey, and Donald Mahaffey and Pamela Alewine, brother-in-law Frank Alewine and sister-in-law Mary Ann Mahaffey. Also surviving are twenty grandchildren, five great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by a sister Sandra Mahaffey and a granddaughter Angel Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 PM Monday, January 23, 2012 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with The Brian Scruggs officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Veteran's Garden.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 PM Monday at the funeral home.
