Jack Emmett Gray, Jr., 45, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 15, 2013.

Mr. Gray was born December 16, 1967 in Greenville, to Jack E. Gray, Sr. and the late Gwin Essie Smith Gray. Jack was a certified litigator in the U.S. Federal District Court and an attorney with the law firm of Driggers, Schultz & Herbst in Michigan. He was a member of the American Bar Association and the Michigan Bar Association. He was an alumnus of the Thomas Cooley School of Law and the University of South Carolina. Jack was a huge fan of the University of Michigan and USC sports programs.

Surviving in addition to his father, are a sister, Jacque Gray; and his extended family in Michigan, Peter and Camille Ecklund Sr., and Peter Ecklund Jr.

Graveside services will be 11a.m. Wednesday at Cannon Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Forrest Mixon. The family will receive friends in the cemetery immediately following the service.

Jack was a member of my core group of law school friends. We spent every day together for 3 years, and they were the best 3 years of my life. I am a better person for having Jack as a friend.
