Mr. Alan Raymond Weil, age 91, passed away at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center Monday afternoon November 12, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Martha McDonald Chapel at Magnolia Manor with Rev. Dennis Stalvey officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before services at Martha McDonald Chapel. Another church service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday November 20, 2012 at Stone Presbyterian Church in Clinton, NY. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Clinton, NY.
Mr. Weil was born May 17, 1921 in Plattsburgh, NY, the son of the late Fredrick Raymond Weil and Jane Hazel Gilbert Weil. He was a Chemical Engineer with Union Carbide retired, a member of College Place United Methodist Church in Brunswick, Ga., and a Veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy.
Mr. Weil is survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Cheryl Hospodarsky and Ralph of Indianapolis, IN, Brother Henry Gilbert Weil of Raleigh, NC, Sister Shirley Sollinger of Boulder, CO, two Grandchildren Bethany Hospodarsky of Indianapolis, IN, and Keith Hospodarsky of Kenosha, WI, also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Helen Fredonia Coker Weil.
