Alice Goodwin McDuffie

Obituary Condolences

Mrs. Alice Goodwin McDuffie, 82, died Tuesday. Born in Marlboro County, she was a daughter of the late Frank G. Sr., and Nora Bundy Goodwin. Mrs. McDuffie was a graduate of McColl-Fletcher Memorial School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Usher Hardware, Drs. Owens, Charles, and Linder, and for the family business, Carolina Cleaners. She was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, and was active in the WMU, Keenagers, Choir and had served on the flower committee and Library Committee.

Surviving are: her husband of 62 years, Ansel McDuffie, of Agape Harbison, Columbia, daughters, Jeanie McDuffie Feaster, (Ron F.), of Columbia, Angela McDuffie Bruce, (Rev. Mike), of Greenville, grandchildren, Scott Feaster, of Columbia, Shannon Bruce Browne, of Charleston, Courtney Feaster Pritchard, of Charleston and Kevin Bruce, of Charleston, great-granddaughters, Mary Bennett Pritchard and Harper Pritchard, of Charleston, brothers, Frank Goodwin, Jr., and Jennings Goodwin, of Bennettsville and James A. Goodwin, of Pendleton, sisters, Mrs. Willie Edith Boan and Mrs. Mildred Gray, both of Bennettsville.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday in Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM in the Church Parlor. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
