Bennie Burgess, 92, formerly of 112 West Sundance Drive, Easley, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 at The Cottages at Brushy Creek. Born in Greer, he was the son of the late James and Louise Ferguson Burgess. Survivors: daughters, Lillie Rodger of Decatur, GA, Vickie McKinney of Easley, and Diane Burgess of Greenville; stepson, Norman Verdell Foster of Greer; sister, Stella Owens of Detroit, MI; brother, Cornell Burgess of Detroit, MI; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Funeral Service: Saturday, 1:00 PM at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens. - Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary

Bennie used to do landscape work at my home years ago. He was a kind and honorable man who always had a positive word to say. I admired him. Rest in Peace, Bennie.
