Travelers Rest

Betty Jean Turner McCauley, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Greenville County on January 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late T.C. and Lillian E. Foster Turner. She was retired from Steel Heddle Manufacturing Co and was an active and faithful member of Enoree Baptist Church for 60 years where she worked with the GA's, was a member of various prayer groups and taught Sunday school for many years.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Hugh McCauley; 3 sons, Robert Clark McCauley (Darlene), Gerald McCauley (Lynn) and Steven McCauley; 1 daughter, Vicki Grogan; 2 brothers, Bobby and Ronnie Turner (Diane); 1 sister, Judy Connor; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren;

Along with her parents, Mrs. McCauley was predeceased by 1 brother, Tommy Turner and 2 sisters, Mary Moore and Wanda Stephens.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Enoree Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the mortuary.

The family will be at the home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Enoree Baptist Church Building Fund at 881 Tigerville Rd., Travelers Rest, SC 29690.

To the sweetest ladie I ever knew. I will not cry down here for you that I know you're in heaven rejoices with your parents your brother your sisters. And that you are cancer free no more in pain.
