Blanche Lucille (Lucy) Moreland, 82, of Greenville, widow of Morris Gilbert "Gil" Moreland, died November 17, 2012, at Glorified Health and Rehab of Greenville.
Born in Duncan, she was a daughter of the late Norman Boyce and Zonnie Mae Easler Leake. Mrs. Moreland was a dedicated member and faithful Bible School Teacher at Edgewood Church of Christ. She kept many little children in her home, especially all five of her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Lark and Peggy Crisp (Wesley); five grandchildren, Dawn Lark Bell, Adam Crisp (Crystal), Lori Crisp Matuscak, Amanda Lark Bartschat (Richie), and Eric Crisp; and four great-grandchildren, Haley Crisp, Anna Matuscak, Brandon Crisp, and William Matuscak.
In addition to her husband of 58 years, Mrs. Moreland was preceded in death by two sisters, Muriel Bingham and Betty Jo Hinson, and two brothers, R.J. and Charles Leake.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 19, 2012, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at Edgewood Church of Christ. Burial to follow the service in Graceland West Cemetery.
