Willis Buford Lunsford, 92, of Anderson, died Wednesday January 1, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born July 23, 1921 in Elbert County, GA, he was the son of the late Willis and Sally Vickery Lunsford. He was a US Army Veteran having served during World War II and was owner/operator of Lunsford Cabinet Shop for 43 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he was also a member of the Adult Choir.
Surviving are his wife of 21years, Henrietta Bradley Lunsford, sons, Wendell Lunsford (Pat) of Taylors, Doug Lunsford of Anderson, and Ron Lunsford (Eugenia) of Cape Canaveral, FL; grandchildren, Brian Lunsford (Dianna), Keith Lunsford (Leigh), Russell Lunsford, and Amanda Rodriquez (Manny) and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Azalee Burden Lunsford and sister, Pauline Gibson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church with Revs. Paul Frey and Bob Carlisle fficiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Sullivan-King Mortuary.
