Caroline Owings Armstrong, 71, of 13 Carriage Drive, widow of Melvin Louie Armstrong, died October 12, 2012.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Leon Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Harris Owings, she was an employee of Benson's Chrysler Dealership and a member of Washington Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Deniece and Ricci Allen of Greer; two sons and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Shawn Armstrong and John Armstrong all of Greer; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Suzanne Owings of Springfield, MO and Grover and Jane Owings of Easley; five grandchildren, Ricci Allen, Jr., Adam Armstrong, Ann Caldwell, Marcie Chastain and Ryan Armstrong and eleven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Armstrong was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Dot Owings.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Washington Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Drew Hines and Rev. Joe Price. Burial will follow in Zoar United Methodist Church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
