Clara Mae Davis Cantrell, 86, widow of James J. Cantrell, died December 18, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Daniel Davis and Susan Williams Davis Alexander, she was the owner of Midway Residential Care Facility, a member of True Life Christian Fellowship, and of the Wesleyan faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda C. Walker of Moore; two grandsons, Blair Burnett and Justin Walker; six great-grandchildren, Jackson Walker, Sierra Harrington, Hunter Burnett, Jesse Burnett, Cailun Burnett, and Cason Burnett; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Betty Ray; and special buddies, Stacey Gibson and Wyoming Switzer.
Mrs. Cantrell was predeceased by a daughter, Joan C. Burnett, five brothers, Raymond C. Davis, Enis Alexander, Earl Alexander, Louie Alexander, and Donald Alexander and a sister, Virginia Allred.
Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Gene Burgess and Rev. Stephen Johnson. The committal service will be private.
Pallbearers will be Justin Walker, Blair Burnett, Ollie Walker, Johnny Gibson, Gene Schiltz, and Tim Griffin.
Honorary escort will be Hunter Burnett.
Visitation will be held 2:00-3:15 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary.
