I am another Timmons across the street on Ashford Avenue. I remember David and his Mom and Dad and was struck how much David looked like his Dad in the photo. Have read the wonderful tributes in the Cashiers paper and am filled with admiration. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.

Brenda,
We were saddened to hear of David's death. Our family (Bill and Connie Timmons and eight children) lived accross the street from the Bate's on Ashford Avenue.
We also were in Forrester Woods until 2008. My sister, Dru James and her husband Ennis have a house at Cashiers. They are members of Friends of Panthertown. We have great memories of David and spent many enjoyable hours on the trail in Mauldin near Forrester Woods named in his honor.
He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I worked with David as the first Finance Officer of the City of Mauldin and enjoyed knowing him and his wonderful sense of humor. I loved hearing how he would go out with some of the guys and each Mexican at lunch. He piled on so may peppers that his face turned red and sweat poured off him. He was a great guy.
