To Our Sedgley Family-- May you all be blessed with special memories. A most recent memory for us was two years ago .Spear came to Maine to visit his Aunt Frances during her last days. He prayed with us. We will always remember him for his kindness and concern for others. (cousin) Mary Carr Hinkley and husband Clyde Hinkley Fort Myers Florida

Sedgley Family,

What wonderful memories we have of Spear stopping by our tailgate at Furman when our son played for the Paladins!! I asked Spear when I first met him if he would "watch over my boy"...only to learn that he watched over them all...they were all his boys!!
He was a great person and role model, always thinking of others and teaching by example.
He will be missed...but remembered with a smile.

Prayers to your family,

Hadley Mullen

As my mother lost her only sibling to ALS, I am all too familiar with the heartache that you are feeling. I am grateful that Spear can now rest in peace, and I hope all he's left behind will find some comfort in the following phrase from an old Eskimo legend:
"Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy." (Authors Unknown)
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

What a great guy!I will miss his sense of humor and companionship
on the sidelines. We had some happy moments and some tense
moments, but, we always had the Paladins ready to play some
football."Because He lives,we can face tomorrow!'
