Harriette Bull (Jo) Dunn, age 84, of Birmingham AL, died peacefully Saturday, February 16, 2013. She was born May 7, 1928 in Spartanburg, SC. She lived most of her life in North Carolina and South Carolina and moved to Birmingham 20 years ago. Since then she has been an active and devoted member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.

Throughout her life she was a dedicated volunteer and believed in respecting the dignity of every human being in every walk of life. She spent many years as a volunteer with the St. Vincent's Hospital Auxiliary, also having served as president. She believed and practiced "To whom much is given much is expected". She loved life and lived it to the fullest.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was predeceased by her parents William Clare and Hessie Bull, her brother William Bull, Jr. and her husband Claude Dunn. She is survived by her sister Mary Bull McLain Benton of Greenville, SC, her children Donald Dunn of St. Petersburg, FL, Kathryn (Raymond) Harbert and Stacey (Jennifer) Dunn of Birmingham, her grandchildren Brian Dunn and Brent (Virginia) Dunn of Charlotte, NC, Raymond (Cole) Harbert Jr. of Birmingham, Mary Kathryn (Jack) Bryant of Charlottesville, VA, John Harbert of London UK, Alan and Caroline Dunn of Birmingham and great grandchildren Helen and Mary Mabray Harbert of Birmingham all of whom will miss their sweet Grammy very much.

The celebration of her life will be Tuesday, February 19th at 3:00 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church with a reception following in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church at 3775 Crosshaven Drive, 35223, St. Vincent's Hospital Auxiliary at 810 St. Vincent's Drive, 35205 or YWCA Interfaith Hospitality House @ 309 North 23rd Street, 35203, all in Birmingham, AL.
