Mrs. Hattie Switzer Pattillo, 101, born May 23, 1911, died November 21, 2012.

She was the daughter of the late James and Cora Pearson Switzer and the wife of the late Hugh Gary Pattillo, all of Woodruff, SC. Hattie was one of eight children and was the last survivor. She was born, raised and lived most of her adult life in Woodruff, SC. After graduating from Woodruff High School, she attended Columbia College. She worked with her husband at Pattillo Electric Service for many years. She also worked for Mac Shore Classic and Fiber Industries where she retired in 1976.

Mrs. Pattillo was an active member of Woodruff First Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for 3 year olds for many years, and in her later years enjoyed the Golden Age Club, her Sunday School class and sitting with her friends on "her pew" at church services.

Mrs. Pattillo moved to Greenville, SC, in 1999 to be close to her only child. For the last eight years, she has been a resident of NHC of Mauldin.

She is survived by her daughter, Penny Pattillo Gall and her husband Robert Lawrence Gall of Greenville; grandson, Robert William Gall and wife Anna Bell of Arlington, VA; and grandson, Brandon Pattillo Gall, and wife Holli and their daughter Margaret of Winston-Salem, NC.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10:30 AM in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will follow immediately after the services at Woodruff First Baptist Church Sanctuary from 11:30 AM to 12 noon.

The family requests that flowers be omitted and donations made in Mrs. Pattillo's memory to the Over and Above Fund, Woodruff First Baptist Church, 801 Cross Anchor Road, Woodruff, SC 29388.
