Jack Henry Rebman, age 86, of Rolling Green Village Retirement Center, 3 Hoke Smith Blvd., Apt. A110, Greenville, passed away on September 10, 2013 at 3:55pm at his residence. He was born on July 10, 1927 in Rushville, Illinois. Mr. Rebman was the son of the late Adam and Rachel Logsdon Rebman. He served in the US Navy during and after World War II.
Mr. Rebman received a BS degree in Geology from Oregon State College in 1956 and subsequently was employed by Sinclair Oil & Gas Company, US Navy Oceanographic Office and the US Department of Interior. He was a member of Pelham Road Baptist Church of Greenville. Mr. Rebman was a sixty year member of the following Masonic Lodges: Rushville Lodge #9 (AF&AM); Lusk and Shriners of North America.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Street Rebman.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Jewell Bair Rebman are one brother, William H. Rebman (Joan) of Plainfield, Indiana, one sister, Barbara K. Wilson (Elvis) of Spring Branch, Texas; one stepson, Dale B. Bair (Valarie) of Orangeburg, South Carolina; two stepdaughters, Dianne B. Adair (William) of Lawrence, Georgia, and Donna B. Aitken (Tom) of Greer, South Carolina; nine step grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
Memorial services will be held at Rolling Green Village Retirement Center on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 3:00pm.
