Jerome Kettelson Obituary
Simpsonville
Jerome Keith "Jerry" Kettelson, Ph.D., 85, of Simpsonville, husband of Mary Conner Kettelson, died Friday, February 1, 2013, at Cascades Verdae, Greenville.
Born in Chicago, IL, he was a son of the late Carl O. and Elsie Hohman Kettelson.
Dr. Kettelson earned his Bachelor's Degree at Taylor University, Master's Degree from the University of Louisville, and Ph.D. from Purdue University.
Dr. Kettelson retired as a Quality Control Engineer at Danfoss.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Dr. Kettelson was a member of First Baptist Church of Simpsonville.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 62 years, are three daughters, Susan Woods and husband Bob, of Michigantown, IN; Cindy Sidell and husband Jerry, and Pam Wall and husband Buck, all of Simpsonville; six grandchildren, Karen Alonso, Mike Woods, Sarah Goodnough, Matt Sidell, Conner and Adam Wall; two great-grandchildren, Leah Goodnough and Brady Alonso; a brother, and four sisters.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 4, 2013, from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast, 1604 NE Main Street, Simpsonville, where the Funeral Service will follow at 5:00 p.m.
Burial will be private.
Memorials may be made to Milligan College, PO Box 500, Milligan College, TN 37682.
The family will be at the home.
