Jimmy Dawson Hudson, 74, of Greer, went peacefully to be with the Lord, Friday, March 15, 2013 at his home. He was a retired General Manager with General Baking Co. and was also a member of the Bailey Masonic Lodge and of the Hejaz Shrine. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Lindsay Hudson; daughter, Pamela Hudson-Henderson (Jim) and son, Joey D. Hudson (Peg); sister, Martha Green; sister-in-law Evelyn Hudson and Aunt Grace Wood.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 P.M. at Wood Mortuary in Greer, S.C. Sunday March 17, 2013. Visitation will be held 2:30 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family is at the Hudson Homeplace at 1387 Brockman-McClimon Road, Greer, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse D. and Bertha Byars Hudson; brothers Bill and Larry Hudson.
He was a loving Papa to his three grandsons, John Crews, Hudson, and McGregor King and his beloved nieces and nephews.
The family expresses special thanks to the loving care of Gentiva Hospice.
