Josie Margaret Waters

Josie Margaret Waters, 82, widow of Ralph C. Waters, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Iler Moore Coker.

Mrs. Waters was a homemaker and member of First Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Lynette Flynn and husband, Tim; two sons, David Waters and wife, Charlene and David Huff; five grandchildren, Nicole May, Adriane Huff, Zachary Waters, Katherine Waters and Joshua Waters; four great grandchildren, Trevor May, Kinzlee Faniel, Eli May and Derek Faniel, Jr.; and a brother, Jack Coker.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Janice Waters and Joyce Waters; a son, Phillip Waters; two sisters, Mattie Coker and Bessie deSaussure; and three brothers, James, George and Billy Coker.

Mrs. Waters was a loving mother, grandmother and caregiver to many.

Memorials may be made to First Wesleyan Church, 101 S. Texas Avenue, Greenville, SC 29611.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
