Juanita Jernigan

Juanita Jernigan, 87, of Piedmont, widow of Cecil "Jerry" Jernigan, died Friday, August 3, 2012.
Born in Pelzer, SC, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Anna Jones Kernells.
Mrs. Jernigan retired after working for 20 years at the JP Stevens, Dunean Plant. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a son, Robert "Bobby" Jernigan and his wife, Teresa; three grandchildren, Kim Cameron, Robert "Robin" Jernigan, Jr., and Jason Jernigan and his wife, Kelly; six great grandchildren; a great great-grandson; two sisters, Lydia Cherry and Martha Payne; a brother, James Kernells; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia "Pat" Jernigan; two sisters, Eugenia Lollis and Inez Stewart; and a brother, Earl Kernells.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2012, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at 5 Caren Street, Greenville, SC 29611.
