Lawrence "Buster" Cooper

Simpsonville

Lawrence "Buster" Dennis Cooper, 78, husband of 56 years to, Sallie Jean Mayfield Cooper, went to be with the Lord Friday, February 15, 2013.

Mr. Cooper was born May 15th, 1934 in Simpsonville to the late Vernie Goodwin Cooper and Kenneth J. Cooper. He retired as the Plant Coordinator for Sew Simple Systems and enjoyed a life time of farming. He was a member of Clear Spring Baptist Church and was a director with Greenville County Farm Bureau.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Setora Snow and husband Ralph, and Amanda Stewart and husband Bill; grandson, Matthew Stewart; sister-in-law, Sara Cooper; niece, Sheila Jordan and husband Sherman; and three great nieces.

He was predeceased by a brother, Verna "Tiny" Cooper.

Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday at Clear Spring Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Martin Atkins and Rev. Cameron Byrd. Burial will follow with Military Honors in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:30- 4 p.m. at the church.
