Lewis E. "Lew" Cadwallader, 74, husband of Carol Spadoni Cadwallader for 51 years, died Saturday, February 16, 2013.
Mr. Cadwallader was born April 30, 1938 in Washington, D.C. to the late Lewis Weston Cadwallader and Gretchen Amelia Bergner Cadwallader. He worked as an engineer with G.E., B.F. Shaw, Cone Mills and Her Majesty. He was an alumnus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a graduate of the General Electric MTP program. He enjoyed shooting sports, farming and hunting, and was a life-long member of the NRA. He was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Wes Cadwallader; a daughter, Joan Zangas and husband George; three grandchildren, Cody Cadwallader, Christopher Zangas, and Vicky Zangas; and his beloved dog "Tigger." He was predeceased by a grandson, William Zangas.
The family will receive friends 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Burial will be private on his family farm.
