Louis "Louie" Charles Howayeck, 91, widower of Violet Monsour Howayeck, died Monday, July 22, 2013.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Charles Joseph and Labiby Ashook Howayeck.
Mr. Howayeck served in the US Army during World War II. He was a graduate of Brown University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Howayeck was retired from AT & T after 37 years of service. He was a member of St. Anthony of the Desert Maronite Catholic Church in Fall River, MA, the Telephone Pioneers of America, Lebanon American Society, and the American Lebanese Veterans Association Staff Sgt. Philip Sabra Post.
Surviving are two daughters, Jane H. Howard and husband, Sam, of Greenville and Linda V. Howayeck of Fall River, MA; two sons, L. Robert Howayeck and wife Sherrill, of Greenville and Charles G. Howayeck of Greenville; Krysten Wetzel of Fall River, MA; a sister, Doris H. Howard of Greenville; a brother, George C. Howayeck of Fall River, MA; five grandchildren, Christine M. Howard and husband Lance Plumblee, Leslie J. Poinsette and husband Michael, Rob Howayeck and wife, Liz, Kenney Howayeck and wife Amanda and Brady C. Howayeck; six great grandchildren, Isabel C. Poinsette, Jane K. Poinsette, Michael S. Poinsette, Jordan C. Plumblee, Avery Rose Howayeck and Mary Evans Howayeck.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine H. Howard and Rena H. Nassr.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at St. Rafka Maronite Catholic Church with the Funeral Mass following at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park.
