Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Ramey Anders
Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Ramey Anders, 98, of Greenville, widow of Oneal Anders, died Friday, February 7, 2014, at McCall Hospice House.
Born in Belton, she was a daughter of the late William Henry and Annie McConnell McKee. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Anders was a sales associate with TG&Y. She enjoyed sewing.
Mrs. Anders was a member of Brandon Baptist Church. Mrs. Anders was a charter member of Crosswell Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and served as the Director of the WMU.
Surviving are two sons, Harold E. Ramey (Patsy) of Richmond, IN and William E. Ramey (Gail) of Dacusville; daughter, Sandi Wolters of Columbia; step-children, Carolyn Abbott and Linda Vaughn (Bill) of Greenville and Bobby Anders (Anita) of GA; sisters, Margaret Finley of Greenville, Blanche Ficklin of Rock Hill, and Helen Kazan (Nick) of RI; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and special friend, Macy Byrd.
Mrs. Anders was preceded in death by her first husband, Jesse Eugene Ramey; daughter, Martha E. Strickland; sister, Doris Seeger; granddaughter, Julie Duncan; and great-grandson, Brian Doss.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 10, 2014, from 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. at Brandon Baptist Church, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow the service in Graceland Cemetery West.
