Mildred Armstrong Obituary

Mildred Jonel Armstrong, 52, of 1126 Old Dacusville Road, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late John L. and Mildred Hollinsworth Armstrong. Ms. Armstrong was a secretary with A&R Sprinkler Corporation and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are one son, Daniel Kirk Garrett and his fiancee, Carla Chapman, of Easley; a daughter, Tebble Garrett, who disappeared in 1991; three brothers, Ralph Armstrong of Stapleton, Ga., James Armstrong of Marietta, and Johnny Armstrong of Dacusville; four sisters, Reba Gilstrap of Dacusville, Alice Mas of Easley, Mary Posy and Dale Moser, both of Greenville; her stepmother, Evelyn Armstrong of Lyman; stepbrothers, Tommy Campbell and George Campbell, both of Greenville, and Dennis Campbell of Lyman; two stepsisters, Yvone McClain and Debra Austin, both of Lyman; and a grandson, Levi Garrett of Easley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Roper officiating.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

The family is at the home of a sister, Reba Gilstrap, 1126 Old Dacusville Road, Easley, SC 29640.
