Paul H. Bentley, 86, of Fountain Inn, SC, passed away on February 16, 2013.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Fountain Inn, officiated by Rev. Mike Bearden. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow at Cannon Memory Park.
Mr. Bentley was born in Greenville, SC to T.J. "Pop" and Annice Bentley on January 17, 1927. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Navy. He was the distinguished owner of Western Auto and Bentley Furniture in Fountain Inn, SC. He was involved with the Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce as the president, The Lions Club, and American Legion. He was honored by the Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce in 1985 as "Man of The Year" for his service and leadership to the town he loved. He was a member of Fountain Inn Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and treasurer for many years.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Frances P. Bentley; and brothers T. L. Brockman, Henry Brockman and Charles Bentley.
Surviving are his wife, M. Louise Bentley; children, Karen A. Gault and husband Eddie, P. Randall Bentley, and Kevin Bentley and wife Maria; grandchildren, Mandy Zimmerman, Jeremy Gault and wife Kristen, Rand Bentley and wife Andrea, Amy Smith and husband Jeremy, Justin Bentley and wife Leanne, Meredith Bentley, Elizabeth Bentley, and Parker Bentley; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Cameron Bentley, Evan Zimmerman, and Raelynn and Austyn Smith; two step-children, Anne Bell Stockman, and Charles Bell and wife Jackie; 5 step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Justin Bentley, Parker Bentley, Rand Bentley Jr., Jeremy Gault, Jeremy Smith, and David Bell.
The Family will gather at the home of Karen and Eddie Gault, 502 Quillen Avenue in Fountain Inn.
The family of Paul H. Bentley wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the caregivers, Shamica Thompson, Clara Calwile, Nancy Campbell, Belinda Pressley, Fran Bailey, and Misty Fowler. Also, a special thanks to the staff at Interim Hospice Care.
