Paul James "P.J." Quinton, Jr., 69, of 508 Woodbluff Rd and husband of Myrna Camp Quinton, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012, at National Healthcare Center in Laurens.
Born in Clinton, SC, he was the son of the late Paul James Quinton, Sr. and Mildred McGee Quinton. A member of Grace Christian Church, the SC Law Enforcement Officers Association, and the SC National Guard, Mr. Quinton was a Laurens City Police Officer for 36 years, where he served as a Lieutenant for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jeff Quinton and wife Jennifer of Baltimore, MD. , who are expecting the arrival of his first grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 28, 2012, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Pastor Wyatt Brown and the Rev. Charlie Short followed by burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Law Enforcement Honors.
The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary one hour prior to the service.
