Ronald Eugene Walters

Gray Court

Ronald Eugene Walters, 75, husband of the late Barbara Peterson Walters, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013.

Born in Royston, GA, he was a son of the late Roscoe and Stella Walters.

He served his country as a member of the US Army, 82nd Airborn division and then was a supervisor for Carter Excavation.

He is survived by four daughters, Ronda (Richard Mark) Hanvey of Gray Court, Ramona (Douglas R., Jr.) Burns of Simpsonville, Rachel Walters of Gray Court, and Regina (Adam) Tillman of Lubbock, TX; two brothers, Paul, and Reginald Walters, both of GA; three sisters, Audrey Gibson of GA, Marcine Gaddis of Mauldin, and Pam Walters of SC; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Russell Eugene Walters; one brother, Marlin Kelley; and one sister, Claudine Burnette.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Thomas McAfee, Downtown followed by Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The Family will be at the home of Douglas, Jr. and Ramona Burns.
