Sherri Hawkins Stancell

Travelers Rest

Sherri Hawkins Stancell, 57, of Travelers Rest, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of Joe E. Hawkins and the late Wilma Jean Hollingsworth Hawkins.

Ms. Stancell was a member of Truth Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and Hudson.

In addition to her father, she is survived by stepmother, Malynda Hawkins; daughters, Michelle Smith (Jonathan) of Greenville and Jessica Woods (Jason) of Easley; grandchildren, Braden and Cooper Smith and Bree Woods; sisters, Kim Forrester (Ted) of Travelers Rest and Terri Hawkins of Easley; and special nephew, Jake Forrester.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Truth Missionary Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
