Solfrid "Sunny" Indrebo Osby

Solfrid "Sunny" Indrebo Osby of Taylors passed away on July 23rd surrounded by her family after a brave 10-month battle with lung cancer. She was 81.
Born in Hoyanger, Norway, she went on to marry, have two children, and emigrate to the United States, settling in Denville and Rockaway, N.J. before moving to South Carolina.
A music lover and talented singer, she was involved in Little Theater in Norway and New Jersey, and other entertainment venues.
All her life, she loved to dance and in recent years looked forward to line dancing with friends until she became ill. Skilled at a variety of crafts from jewelry making to painting, she enjoyed crocheting and was a member of a club that made hats for cancer patients and other volunteer projects.
She was a blood donor for many years, an avid reader, and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
At the time of her retirement in 1998, she worked as an insurance adjuster.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Liv Osby, of Taylors, and May Carrazana, of Duncan; her granddaughter, Aleen Daniels, and husband Tim, of Taylors; and her great grandchildren Brent, Tyler and Brooke.
She is also survived by her sister, Eva Gundersen, and her brothers, Robert Indrebo and Harald Indrebo, all of Norway.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 27, at 1 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 2600 Wade Hampton Blvd., Taylors.
