Stanley Brittain Duffies II, age 82, died December 5, 2013 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Born in Chicago, Illinois, March 13, 1931, he was the son of the late Stanley Brittain and Doris M. Kleberg Duffies.

Stan graduated from Newtown High School in Elmhurst, New York, and earned a B.S. Degree in Architecture from Clemson A&M College, class of 1954. He served a 16-month tour of duty in South Korea and was discharged with the rank of 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Stan was a retired registered architect. He was employed by several firms in Greenville and Spartanburg during his professional career. He was a former member of The American Institute of Architects, the South Carolina Chapter of the AIA and the Greenville Council of Architects. Stan was a member of the Poinsett Club, the Cotillion Club, The Andrews Society and a former member of the Sertoma Sunrisers. Surviving are his brother Douglas of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, three nieces and their husbands, three grandnieces, and two grandnephews. At Stan's request, a private memorial service was held. Memorials may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation or City of Greenville Pipes and Drums, 107 Tarrington Lane, Easley, SC 29642.
