Virginia "Ginnie" Adair


Virginia "Ginnie" Adair peacefully passed away on July 15, 2013 at Rolling Green Village in Greenville at the age of 95.

She was born October 16, 1917 in Buffalo, N.Y., daughter of Henry and Regina Seitz.

She enjoyed a long professional career as Executive Secretary to the President of Service Systems Corporation in Buffalo until her retirement in 1982. Married to Robin Adair in 1979, she moved to Greenville, S.C in 1982.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robin Adair; brothers, George, William, Walter, and David; sisters, Alice and Grace; and nephews and nieces, Diane Schnatz, Roger Sibert, Richard Seitz and Phyllis Teal.

She is survived by five stepdaughters, Susan (late Terrance) Villnow of Spring Hill, FL, Sally (Roger) Horak of Cortland, NY, Christine (late Walter) Hicks of East Amherst, NY, Elizabeth (Kevin) Whitaker of Arlington, VA and Robin Jo (Kenneth) Green of Lexington, KY; nephews, Paul Harloff, David Seitz, Rex Seitz, and Edward Sibert; nieces, Janice Ault, Ruth Brinkerhoff, Judy Edwards, Barbara Englehardt, Ruth James, Shirley King, Jackie Pankow, and Carol Ann Wells; grandnephews and grandnieces.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Greenville on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
