W.A. (Andy) Bindewald Jr.

Greenville

W.A. Bindewald Jr. (Andy), 83, of Greenville, SC, passed away Oct. 2, 2013 the son of William A. Bindewald Sr. and Margaret M. Bindewald.

He retired from Benefit Control, a member of St. Mary Magdalene, was active in Knights of Columbus and the Jaycees, and a U.S. Army Veteran. His passions in life were family and golf. He was proud to have had the honor of having played at Augusta National, and very proud to have organized a golf tournament sponsored by GSHRM for the past twenty years.

He is survived by his five children: Cathy Bindewald (Rob Coleman), Billy Bindewald, Susan Gerald (Shuman), Laura Pliaconis (Nick) and Allyson Bindewald; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary B. Michalak; one niece and one nephew.

A celebration of Andy's life will be held on Oct. 13th from 1:30 till 4:00 at the home of his daughter, Susan Gerald at 11 Cavendish Close, Taylors, SC.

Cremation Society of South Carolina, 328 Dupont Drive, Greenville, is assisting the family.
