Douglas Charles Rollings, Sr., age 74, husband of Karen Gray Rollings, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at his home.

Born in Watertown, New York, he was a son of the late Charles Marion Rollings and the late Ruth Beulah Johnson Morrow and her husband Benjamin F. Morrow. Mr. Rollings was a U.S. Navy Veteran having attained the rank of 3rd Class Petty Officer and 3rd Class Signalman. He served with the Danbury, Connecticut Police Department for eight years and retired from 3M in Greenville after 25 years of service. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife of 53 years and his step-father Ben, Mr. Rollings is survived by five children, Douglas Charles Rollings, Jr. and wife Dale, Judith Ann Dalton, David James Rollings and wife Rhonda, Karen Mary Shelton, and Daniel John Rollings; 14 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Mack Rollings and Marshall Kenneth Morrow; and a sister, Judy Robinson. He was predeceased by a sister, Judith Ann Rollings.

Graveside services will be held on at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Graceland East Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM at Cannon Funeral Home-Jones Chapel, Simpsonville.
