Curtis Allan Johnson

Simpsonville

Curtis Allan Johnson, 60, of Simpsonville, husband of Georgia Ann Johnson, died on Wednesday, February 19, 2014.

Born in Rockford, IL, he was the son of the late Earl Johnson and Leota Montgomery.

Mr. Johnson served in the United States Marine Corps, the Shriners, and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. In addition to spending time with his family he enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing golf.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 41 years, are two children, Kristi Lowery (Steven) and Matthew Johnson (Melissa) and granddaughter Myla Johnson; stepmother Gwendolyn Johnson; stepfather Kenneth Montgomery; sister Phyllis DeGrave (Doug); stepbrother Rodney Sanders; uncle Les Johnson (Carol); mother-in-law Betty Agnew; as well as several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by two siblings.

There will be a celebration of his life in Rockford, IL, for family and friends to be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Curtis' name to the Cure PSP foundation. Donations can be made at www.curepsp.org.
