Hal C. Norman went to be with the Lord March 22, 2014 at Greenville Place Assisted Living in Greenville, South Carolina. Hal was born in Lakeview, South Carolina, on October 3, 1920, the son of Rev. C.L. Norman and Geneva Thomas Norman. Hal was the devoted husband of his beloved wife, Chloris T. Norman, for 67 years. He attended the University of South Carolina and Furman University.

A Pearl Harbor survivor, Hal bravely and courageously served his country for 5½ years during World War II. He was discharged a Lieutenant in the US Navy. After leaving the Navy, Hal became a manufacturer's representative, forming his own company. Hal was a member of Edwards Road Baptist Church for 34 years and recently a member of Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife, Hal is survived by one sister, Lenore N. Chamber of Greenville; two brothers, William J. Norman of Greenville and James G. Norman of Reston, Virginia.

Service Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Graceland East Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. Roy Seals officiating. Following the service there will be a reception of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church, 207 Mitchell Road, Greenville, SC 29615 or North Greenville University Scholarship Ministries, 7801 N. Tigerville Road, Tigerville, SC 29688.
