Daisy Ruth Medlin Smith

Daisy Ruth Medlin Smith, 79, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 following an extended dementia. Born in Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Ivy and Elsie Medlin of West Union, South Carolina.

Mrs. Smith was a retired home economist from Clemson University Extension Service. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are her three sons, Michael Smith and his wife Guiying Liu of Easley, Terry Smith and his wife, Bonnie, of Boone, NC, and Rick Smith and his partner Greg Campbell of Greenville, SC; her grandchildren, Aaron C. Smith of Lenoir, NC, Bethany Robbins of Lenoir, NC and Cathryn Willadsen and her husband Andy of Springfield, MO; two sisters, Doris Pace of Crystal River, FL, and Marilee Fowler of West Union, SC.

The Family would like to thank Martha Banks, Sue Childs and Pat Moss who have been very supportive of the family in these last days.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 30 at 3:30 PM in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens Mausoleum III.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home.
