Jannette Phillips

Greer

Mary Jannette Phillips, 85, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31, 2014.

Ms. Phillips was born in Greer to the late John Wesley Phillips and Florence Eugenia Bridges Phillips. She retired from Southern Bell and was a charter member of Five Forks Baptist Church. Jannette enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, and going to the beach. In her spare time, she loved to do geneology research.

Surviving are a brother, John Phillips and wife Ellen; a sister, Margaret Pitts; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, James Phillips, Ray Phillips, and Fred Phillips; and a sister, Mildred Lake.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Five Forks Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Howard Foster. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the church.
