Loyd Parsons Holder, 85, of S. Glassy Mountain Road, husband of the late Bonnie Lou Pace Holder, passed away Thursday April 3, 2014 after a short illness.

Mr. Holder was retired from Ryobi in Pickens. He was a member Brushy Creek Baptist Church, Easley and was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War where he was awarded the Silver Star. He was also a member of the US Air Force Reserves.

Surviving is a son, Tim Holder (Melodie) of Easley; two grandchildren, Ryan Holder (Ellen) and Hanna Hamlin (Justin); and a brother, Edgar Holder of Pickens.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by three sisters and a sister-in-law.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the caregivers and Regency Hospice that provided exceptional care to Mr. Holder.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 4:00 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
