December 19, 1933 - April 5, 2014

Billy W. Rigsby walked into life eternal after a beautiful time with family and friends and the host of Heaven at McCall Hospice House.

Bill was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, serving Him any and everywhere God gave him the opportunity, even as a door greeter at the Greer Walmart. He served as a church clerk, Sunday school teacher, church elder at Taylors Church of God. He served in the sanctuary choir at Praise Cathedral. His greatest service was as a husband to two Godly ladies and family. In his eighty years he never shrugged away from the challenges life gave him, and he left a high mark for others to follow and attain. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annette W. Rigsby. He is survived by his second wife of their home, Charlene Rigsby; two sisters, Linda Miner and husband, John of Kennesaw, GA, and Donna W. Rigsby of Columbus, IN; four sons and their wives, Wayne & Teri Rigsby of Greer, Ron & Jan Rigsby of Simpsonville, Michael & Faye Rigsby of Inman and, Jack & Lynn Rigsby of Greer; and one step daughter, Lee Ann Tyson of Spartanburg. His quiver was blessed full of arrows having 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 10 step-great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Praise Cathedral, conducted by Rev. Jerry Madden and Rev. Richard Porterfield. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Greenville, SC.

The family is gathered at the home of Bill & Charlene Rigsby, 136 Cathedral View Dr., Greer, SC.
