Bernice Perkins


Bernice Miller Perkins, a dedicated teacher and servant of God, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on April 12, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and a beacon of faith. A lady with many skills, interests and talents, she was born in Abbeville County on September 21, 1937. She lived and taught most of her remarkable life in Greenwood County.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Perkins Sr., and three sons, Kenneth (Carolyn) Sullivan, Raymond Jr. (Valerie) Perkins, and Michael (Kymberli) Perkins.

The family will visit with friends and loved ones on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at noon at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Greenwood, with burial at Dunn Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
