Albert Pugh, 95, of Greenville, husband of Evelyn Rich Pugh, died Friday, April 18, 2014.
Born in Saluda County, he was the son of the late Tillman Benjamin Pugh and Connie Ridgel Pugh.
Mr. Pugh was a retired World War II USAF B-24 pilot, a Rotarian, past president of Marion Chamber of Commerce, past president of South Carolina Pepsi-Cola Bottlers Association, and a member of Northgate Baptist Church where he has served as a Deacon.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by son, Hunter M. Pugh, and wife, Katherine, of Charlotte; daughter, Ann Pugh Holland, and husband, Charles, of Charlotte; seven grandchildren, Ben, Elizabeth, and Sadie Pugh, and Brian, Laura, Rachel, and Jack Holland; four sisters, Lynette Walker, of Greenville, Anne Smith, of Laurens, Eloise McGee, of Columbia, and Judy Bray, of Augusta; and a brother, T.B Pugh, of Saluda.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Mae Rhinehardt; and brothers, Ellis Pugh, Everette Pou, Bordus Pou, Allison Pugh, and Samuel Pou.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 21, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
