Jackie L. "Butch" Farrow


Jackie L. "Butch" Farrow, 74, husband of 50 years to Martha Ward Farrow, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. He was a beloved husband, Daddy, Pop Butch, and friend.

Born in Piedmont, he was the son of the late Harold Ray and Bobbie Evans Farrow.

Mr. Farrow was formerly a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church in Cedar Mountain, NC. He was currently a member of Washington Baptist Church in Pelzer where he belonged to the J.W. Bagwell Sunday School Class. Mr. Farrow retired from Fiber Industries and Michelin.

He had a sharp wit, a great sense of humor, and a compassionate, tender heart. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially deer hunting.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are son, Russell Farrow (Andrea) of Rock Hill; sister, Shirley Bryson (Herman) of Piedmont; niece, Lisa Littleton (Todd) of Simpsonville; niece and nephew, Haley and Wesley Littleton; and two boys he thought of as his grandsons, Jack and Alex McCrary, who called him "Pop Butch."

The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 5:45 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

A private burial will be held.
