Betty Ann Orr Roach

Greenville

Betty Ann Orr Roach, 85, widow of James C. Roach, died Thursday, May 1, 2014.

Born in Brevard, NC, she was a daughter of the late Clannie K. and Nancy Inez Floyd Orr.

Mrs. Roach was a homemaker and member of Berea First Baptist Church. She loved to ballroom dance and spend time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Freida Hall and husband, Greg, of Greer and Jane Reeps and husband, Eddie, of Simpsonville; three sons, Steve Roach and wife, Marion, George Roach and wife, DeNear and James Roach, Jr. and wife, Teci, all of Easley; four sisters, Nancy Harrison of Florida, Frieda Miller of Greenville, Sara Ford of Simpsonville and Ann McClammon of New Zealand; a brother, Charles K. "Chuck" Orr of Greer; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Melba King and Judi Duncan.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 2, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
